Art Requirements for Compress-T

T-shirts

Our T-shirts are printed in several different ways including spot colors and 4-color process. Ask your sales representative which method is best for your shirt. We prefer to use first generation, original artwork and art that has NOT been converted to exported formats such as JPEG, GIF or PDF.

Acceptable Native File Formats:

Adobe Illustrator (thru version 10), Adobe Photoshop (thru version 7), QuarkXPress (thru version 5), Macromedia Freehand (thru version 10) and Corel Draw (thru version 10)

Acceptable Exported File Formats:

Encapsulated Postscript (EPS), Tagged Image File Format (TIFF)

Please Note: TIFF files must be CMYK. RGB files that are converted to CMYK may differ in color.

To avoid any problems:

Quark documents should include all fonts. All images should be included and linked. Illustrator & Freehand files should convert all fonts to outlines.

All spot color Jobs must be in a vector file format. PMS colors MUST be specified for spot color jobs.

Art should be set up to color separate accordingly. When possible, please include color separations.

All raster or bitmap images must be SAVED TO ACTUAL SIZE at a minimum of 150 dpi.

Maximum image size for front or back of t-shirt is 13 inches wide by 17 inches high. 

Maximum image size for a sleeve image is 3.5 inches wide by 2 inches high.

Left chest images are usually no more than 4 inches wide.

Insert Cards

All of our insert cards are printed in high quality digital 4-color process. Ask your sales representative for other printing options. We prefer to use first generation, original artwork and art that has NOT been converted to exported formats such as JPEG, GIF or PDF.

Please include a 1 /8" bleed for all art that goes to the edge of the printed piece. Please do not include die-line on rastered images.

All insert art should be a minimum of 300 dpi.

A COLOR PRINTOUT IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ARTWORK RECEIVES

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES FOR THE HIGHEST QUALITY

AND FASTEST TURNAROUND TIME POSSIBLE.
